Notice of Public Hearing Armada Township Planning Commission


Notice is hereby given that the Armada Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on April 5, 2017 beginning at 7:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows, at the Armada Township Hall, 23121 East Main Street, Armada, MI  48005. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.

Text amendments to the Zoning Ordinance include: the addition of definitions and regulations for solar energy installations, new definitions and amended standards for restaurants and banquet halls to provide stronger protections for residential neighbors, amendment of Section 8.02.B Value-Added Farming Operations to clarify site plan requirements, amendments to Section 5.07 Signs and sign related definitions to improve organization and make the ordinance compliant with the Supreme Court's decision in Gilbert vs. Reed, amendment of accessory building standards to permit increased square footage, and a set of smalller text amendments intended to clarify language.

Written comments may be addressed to the Planning Commision at the Township Hall address.  A copy of the propsed ordinance amendments will be available for public view at the Township Hall and on the Township website prior to the public hearing. Oral comments will be taken during the hearing April 5, 2017. (See Planning Commission Agendas)
