Bid Specifications

Snow Removal Contract 2018-2020

(November 1, 2018 through October 31, 2020)

Senior Citizen's Center: 75400 North Avenue, Armada

  • Plow and salt driveway, parking areas and entrance approaches.  Parking for ball diamonds DO NOT need to be cleared.

Township Hall: 23121 East Main, Armada

  • Plow and/or clear and salt sidewalks, steps, handicap ramp, back parking area and entrance porches by 8:30 a.m.

Additional information:

  • All above referenced surfaces must be plowed and/or cleared after a snowfall of
    1.5 inches.
  • Billing must be detailed separately for each area and invoiced separately.
  • Quote must contain cost per plow and cost per salting.
  • Quotes for additional services must specify cost per each performance of said service and recommended frequency where applicable.

Proof of general liability insurance not less than $1 million and worker's compensation or sole proprietor statement must be provided.  Armada Township it’s elected and appointed officials, employees and volunteers” must be listed as an additional insured on certificate.

  • ***SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:  If any snow/ice on election days, must be cleared no later than 6:00 a.m. at Senior Center and, if needed, kept clear throughout the day.
  • ***Township Hall must always be cleared no later than 8:30 a.m.

Sealed bids must be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018.  A 2-year contract will be awarded at the Armada Township Board meeting on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Armada Township Hall.
